 A Cry From Beyond

Book #2 in my Vampire series~

Winter 1890~

As I awoke this evening a sense of mischievousness filled my thoughts. Three moons passed since, I attended Kara’s grand affair. Since my creator introduced me to Grayson Moore. Deep with-in I still—fear the human’s sole desire is to become one of us—a vampire. For her lover is overly inquisitive—quite accepting of our needs to survive. My inner-self prays what I’m about to do this evening ends my suspicion.

I received Kara’s letter, she and Grayson were coming for a visit, and set my plan in motion. For my creator is unaware an old friend dear to her heart has taken up residence in New Orleans. Beth was turned—vampire at the young age of eighteen. Kara found the fledging near death during one of our battles. She sheltered the newly turned vampire and taught Beth how to survive as one of the un-dead. Since that night Beth and Kara became sisters—in our world.  Her desire to help others, Beth vowed to protect the innocent. Her choice brought the vampire to this new world. As we meet in the square, my creator will see her old friend for the first time in 50yrs. Emotions high—they’ll begin to reminisce—wanting time alone. Leaving the human in my company, I shall offer Grayson what he desires most—to become a vampire. Of course my gift to the human will cost him dearly. For if he chooses what I offer, once turned he can no longer be a part of Kara’s world.  Deep with-in I pray the human refuses my gift of eternal life. For the monster living in my soul never intends on granting his desire. The monster will drain the human of life not caring—once again my actions cost me someone I hold dear.

Please forgive my deceit Kara—for I pray this feeling with-in my soul is untrue.
